I bed share with my 3 week old and have found side-lying nursing to be the perfect solution for night feedings and managing my forceful letdown. unfortunately, one of the benefits of this method (baby can let excessive milk flow dribble out of his mouth) also leads to us lying in a big ol' wet spot/puddle of milk. Then, bc it is winter, I worry that he gets cold from being damp. I hesitate to lay a towel or burp cloth under us bc I tend to fall asleep while nursing him this way at night and I am concerned that any loose fabric under him could be a suffocation hazard. Surely I'm not the only one who has this happen, but my poor baby has breast milk-soaked hair every morning, lol. Any tips?
