It's adorable!

Since it's so slow...

DS has always been afraid of stuffed animals or dolls, or mascots; but ately he's gotten very attached to his Leapfrog puppy Scout. He carries it every where, hugs him and gives him kisses. At night he won't go to bed unless he has Woof Woof with him--that's what he's started calling it lol--and when he wakes up for me to bring him in bed with us, I always find him standing up holding the dog up to me, the darn puppy sleeps with us too. Well, Last night when I picked both up I dropped the dog, DS said "uh-oh" looked down and started bawling! I thought it was so cute lol.

Care to share what are the things your LO does that you find absolutely adorable?

Re: It's adorable!

  • I love the way she says "I found it" whenever she finds something she is looking for. I love they way she says "cuddle" when she wants to hold baby sister I just wish she wouldn't smack her in the face when she is done cuddling. And I love the way she flings open the double doors and screams "DADDY!" when it's time for daddy to wake up.

It is so nice to stop and think for a minute about all of the adorable things toddlers do. Because at this point they sure do a lot more things that are NOT cute.

  • Reese LOVES her stuffed animals/blanky. She has 3 lambs, 2 pajanimals, mini pillow pet and a blanky that she sleeps with. However, throughout the day, she will hand each one to me to carry for her. If my DH and I are laying down on the couch or the floor of her room, she will bring them over to us and cover us up with her blanket and have us hug all of her stuffed animals.

She is really big into brushing her teeth right now and blowing her nose (due to a cold) so she constantly tries to blow her stuffed animals noses and brushes their teeth.

  • Caroline likes to put diapers on all of her stuffed animals and even little plastic "Little People".  Sometimes she MUST have a wipe and diaper cream to complete the process.  She also likes to put everyone "night night".  She takes all of her Little People princesses and puts them face-down and puts a blanket over them.  She does it with all her stuffed animals too.  She's so obsessed that her godmother had her husband make a small bed for her to put her monkey in.  If someone lays on the couch she'll get a blanket and put them night night.

This. My DD also says "i found it!"  & there it is! The cutest though is that she says "hug?" and gives you a bear hug and pats you on the back and says "awww" lol

  • DD does tons of cute stuff, but one of my favorites is that she has become a self-designated hat policewoman. No one is allowed to go outside without a hat on. If she notices it, even if that person is a complete stranger, she will fix them with an intense stare, point at their head, and then point at hers. She doesn't say much yet, but she still knows how to get her point across :-)

DS is like that too! It's so funny. We joke that he is OCD because he also closes doors or drawers that are cracked open or if walks by a rug that had the corner flipped up he says oh no and fixes it, if he sees a little piece of trash he stops what he's doing to pick it up and throw it in the trash and god forbid I spill something, he gasps and goes to find a rag to wipe it!
  • Caroline pointed to the jar where we keep some Hershey's kisses and my husband gave her one while I wasn't looking and said "we need to keep this a secret".  We've never talked about secrets but she responded by saying "sh sh".  Must be something she learned at school!

She hasn't said "I found it" but she has said "I'm hiding".  Cracks me up!

Oh yeah, we do with her, too. For a while she wanted to wash her hands about every 10 minutes, and I had to put a stop to that. I laughed about it, but deep down I was starting to get a little concerned about OCD!! ;-)

  • Instead of saying please she says puh puh puh please.  My sister taught her to do it since when we were younger that was how she got DH to do what she wanted, so she thought DD needed to know.

  • Jack says "MommyMommyMommyMommyMommy" over and over, then (with a big smile) "Hi".
