Getting cancelled again??

So I had my first blood test today after starting stims.  Due to a poor response last time and a good response to clomid I took 100 mg clomid for 5 days and just started  gonal-f 450 iu. The nurse called and said that my estrogen level was basically the same as it was at baseline! So I am bumped up to 600iu of gonal f for the next two days but she already mentioned that I may get cancelled again! What??!

I'm so disappointed because I don't know what our other options are. DH is trying to be hopeful that things will improve but I think it is unlikely. I just can't understand why this is going so terribly... Sorry to be a downer on Super Bowl Sunday!

Me:30 low AMH; DH:30 MFI (count, motility, morphology)

Re: Getting cancelled again??

  • so sorry, it's really hard to get cancelled -- i know from experience.   My only advice is maybe after this round try getting a 2nd opinion to see what else you can do.

  • I am so sorry this happened to you. I had something similar this summer. The only added thing my RE tried was to have me inject 150iu of menopur intramuscularly in addition to the gonal F. She said she had seen where some patients dont respond as well to the subcutaneous injections but do to the intramuscular. Unfortunately in my case I did not. But others have, so this may be something to ask about? Just a thought.

Big hugs, this is very hard to go through.
