Or don't have the guts to use?
I love the name Ruby, but I don't know if I will ever use it.
How about you guys?
This question is hard...there I names I wish I could use because my H shot them down, bad associations, names already used my family or close friends, and then guilty pleasure names. I have about a bajillion if you include all those.
Paige - would probably be our top girl name if close friends didn't name their DD this who is about 2 days older than Eli
Bridget, Georgia, Virginia, Josephine, Andrea, Audrey, Lydia, Cecilia, Katherine, Annika, Lorelai - Names my H shot down for one reason or another
I was talking about the name to my husband and at one point he laughs and said "Who would use that ugly name?" ::insert open mouth, sad gape::
At least he likes Anastasia.
Okay, Kids - it's coming back: My Awesomesauce "Science is for everyone!" Blog.

-- I would use them without hesitation, but DH is not on board.
When I was younger I loved Damien and Dalilah. Well Damien I've lost interest in, and Hubby associates Dalilah with the radio show. Boo.
My likes Hubby shot down hardcore: Anastacia, Adelaide, Emmalyn
Won't use because of associations with TV/Movies: Lorelai, Cordelia, Primrose, Nessarose
There are names that are out because they sound weird with last name, are used by close family, or have bad associations that I love: Aaron, Phineas, Isabel...
And there are names that are GP but I can't see us using: Aurora, Omri, Maeve
Felicity and Sloane-DH vetoed
Beatrice/Beatrix, Magnolia, and Paisley-GP names but wouldn't really use them
Athena- DH's aunt's name. We want to let her children use the name if they choose.
Allegra- not sure I have the balls to use it.
Charlotte - too popular,
and Henry- popular, and doesn't go with LN
I teach so a lot of the children I am attached to I mark the names as off limits because I want to hold that name to that child in my mind.
there are a few others as well.
Boys: Barrett & August (ex-bfs' names), Sebastian (DH not on board)
Girls: Jacinda (DH not on board), Marlowe (We have an M last name so I don't think it goes)
I like Fiona so much. My husband said he'd feel like Shrek everytime he'd say the name. lmao
I wish I could use Gemma - it's my guilty pleasure name. Even if DH would agree, I still wouldn't because our LN starts with a G.
For a boy I love Declan but my father said "Duckling?! You're telling me I have to have to have a grandkid named DUCKLING? Kids will quack at him!" Needless to say, he's not Irish (mom is and DH's fam is..)
In a weird way I've always liked the names Percy and Perpetua. I'm saving Percy for a dog, but Perpetua will just remain a pipe dream. I think I just like the way it sounds.
I LOVE Juliet & Julietta but we've decided on using Italian names/spellings and I just don't care for the look of Giulietta with our G- last name.
Cooper and Spencer and Dalton all family names and I just can't use them, we may use Dalton as a middle name because I love it so much.
Girls Emberlyn H doesn't like it
Furbabies Hayley and Charlie~Kayden~Angels Lucas, Serena, and Ana

Diagnosed Delayed Ovulation and LPD - Treatment Plan Clomid
Charlotte, Cordelia, Granne, Daisy
Duncan, Henry, Desmond, Simon
I have always LOVED the name Joshua. But I dated one, before DH and well... I woudn't even suggest it.....it would be weird.
But I think it's such a nice name.
TheWop:Athena- DH's aunt's name. We want to let her children use the name if they choose.Allegra- not sure I have the balls to use it.
Jeremiah, Jude, Jack - Our DD has a 'J' name and so does my H. I don't want to be the 'J' family!
Anderson, Declan, Levi, Lucas/Luke, Audra - All vetoed by H.
Beau, Brynn, Brenna, Wren - They all sound weird/wrong with our 1 syllable 'B' last name :(
Don't know what this one is but I've always really liked Evelyn, but my niece is named Emilyn...
Lucy is so cute but it sounds bad with our last name.
Josephine is sweet but we named our first dog that. She died a couple years ago and even though we called her Jojo, it was Josephine.
Girl names are so much harder for me to figure out. With my DS I knew right away what his name would be.
