new to Vegas

Hey,

My hubby and I recently moved to Vegas. We live in the Mountains Edge area. I am looking for a good babysitter for my 2yr old daughter and a good group of friends. Also we lost our sweet baby on December 27th at 9 weeks so maybe a good pregnancy loss group as I'm still having some issues with that. So far we are loving the area and looking forward to our time here.

I live on the west side not too far from mountains edge if you take the 215..... I too lost a baby in October and know how hard that can be......I have a step daughter who is 8 years old and recently found out I'm expecting again and keeping my fingers crossed about it but also fearing the worst..... How old are you? I don't know many babysitters unfortunately.... I know when my step daughter was little she went to le petite ....

Congrats on your pregnancy!  My hubby and I are not trying but not preventing getting prego again. I can only imagine it will be the happiest scariest thing to happen when it does! I am 28 years old. We take our daughter to My Gym and they have parents night out the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month for only $30 from 6-9:30 I don't know if we could get a babysitter for that price any more haha!

I recently moved back to Vegas...I am not sure which side of town Mountains Edge is? I live in Centinnial area and a stay at home mom. I would like to baby sit but not sure if I want to take on for someone who works 40 hours weeks. I have 12 year old and 9 year old and expecting. Anyone who wants me to babysit I like to inform them ahead of time I have a BIG dogs and that sometimes scares people but she is BIG baby!!

Mountains Edge is in the far southwest part of Vegas, I think you would be too far north for us.  I was only looking for someone to babysit for the occasional date with the hubby. I'll let you know if we are up in the area ever though

Not a problem! I am north west and pretty far north at that but I am usually pretty open to watching kids. My husband travel lots.

I am close to mountain's edge (actually used to live there), and in Rhodes Ranch. I've lived in Las Vegas for just over 10 years and don't have any close friends outside of work. I am 32 and have a 10 month old son. I work in a hospital and my hubby stays home with our son.

Would anyone be interested in a meet up somewhere? I am very flexible because I stay at home. A weekend play group at a park or something maybe?

Would love too! I am a teacher and work week days! I have my step daughter every other week but my big puppy would love the park too.... Would be nice to have some new friends!

I work in a hospital, usually mon-wed, so weekends would work for me! How old is everyone's LO? Mine is 10 months...and a boy.

My daughter is 2, Weekends would most likely be best. Does everyone know where Exploration peak is? Would that be a good spot for us to meet up or are there other parks that would be better for you guys?

That's fine it's a beautiful park!! I have a 8 year old step daughter so a little older unfortunately but would still love to meet some new friends and Mom's who can give me advice on pregnancy! It would also be nice to share the grief of losing a baby with someone....Next Saturday, I have a baby shower boo and Sunday is super bowel blah which my husband has made plans for us..... Boo but maybe a quick Saturday meetup earlier morning would work would have to leave by 12 for daughters softball practice maybe 9:30 10:00?

We could do 9:30 I'm always up by 6:30 or 7 anyways with my daughter haha. Lets plan on this coming Saturday the 2nd at 9:30 Exploration peak Park. (If it's raining we can reschedule but hopefully we're done with rain for a bit.)

Still planning to be at the park tomorrow morning at 9:30. I am fighting off a cold but I think I'll be able to make it. I'll be by the snake and lizard

We are busy the 16th but how would the 23rd work for another park visit? anyone interested. We can pick a different park this time if location was bad for some of us.
