Hey ladies! I was waiting to introduce myself until after my first doctor's appointment, which was yesterday. I found out I was pregnant on 12/30. My hubby and I weren't technically trying to get KU, just not preventing. Originally we were planning on starting to try around February, but we were both happily surprised by the news.
According to my LMP, my EDD is 9/5 and I should be about seven weeks. I went in for my first ultrasound and they told me that I was only measuring about six weeks and they couldn't find a heartbeat. They gave me a blood test to check my hcg levels, and I have to go back for another blood test tomorrow to see if they have risen. I won't hear back from the doctor until Monday. I'm trying not to worry about it too much, but I'm sure you can imagine how that's going.
Anyone have any similar experiences? My doctor seemed to think chances are not good that this pregnancy will stick. He told me to prepare for a miscarriage, but I can't help holding out a little hope. Would appreciate any advice or similar stories!
Sorry to meet you all this way, but hopefully I will be able to stick around!
