Let us guide you along week-by-week!)
I've been seeing a lot of posts regarding Braxton Hicks. I'm a FTM, 22 weeks, and just wondering what exactly do they feel like? Is it the kind of thing that people would say "Oh you'll know if you're having them" or not so much?
homebird:Your stomach tightens up and feels hard to the touch. It's difficult to describe exactly. It can be uncomfortable, but it shouldn't hurt.
This, exactly. I started getting them a lot more, obviously towards the end but I remember with DD, I got them at the end of my 2nd tri and all through my 3rd when I was walking. They continued after I was done too, along with leg cramps...yay. I remember sitting at my desk and getting them sometimes. They are WAY WAY less on the pain scale compared to contractions!
prolixity:I would describe them as feeling like menstrual cramps and/or tightening.
This is what it felt like for me. I was having mild period-like cramps the other day (last week), not the severe ones that I used to get on the first day, kinda the left-over ones that were totally manageable just slightly uncomfortable. It was weird because I haven't had cramps in so long (obviously!). That was the first and only time I've had them so far though.
