My DH and I are in the midst of a heated debate. We've been reading all the books (Spoke, Sears, Happiest Baby, Eat Sleep Poop, etc) and my husband sides with ESP saying baby should not ever sleep in the room.
I plan on breast feeding and read an interesting article that was posted here (or in April 2013) about starting feeding every 3 hours and then it goes from there. I tell him, it's easier to have the baby in our room for this reason as he's not going to be the one getting out of bed the first few weeks and breast feed. He says our bedroom is 10 feet from the nursery and that should be sufficient.
Many things I'm reading are leaning towards baby in the room for 4-6 weeks, then move them when they begin sleeping longer stretches. I am all for this. We do not want to have the baby in the bed with us ever - no co-sleeping etc.
Just wondering your thoughts on this topic. TIA!
