Kaley rolled from belly to back at four weeks and we couldn't get it on video until recently. A few days ago she rolled from back to belly and I caught that on video as well. She's barely 2 months.
I think 3-4 months is normal from front to back and 5-6 back to front. Mine still hasn't rolled but she hates being on her stomach period so I am not worried. Once she figured out how to put her hand in her mouth whenever I put her on her stomach she just sticks her hand in her mouth and wails.
Point being, your baby is perfectly normal and ahead of mine. But don't worry, J has already been accepted to Harvard early admission anyway, and that's what matters, right? :)
Alice rolled belly to back at around 6-8 weeks, then stopped. She gained weight and it got to be too much effort, I think. LOL I'm excited for her to start again!
From what I understand, consistent rolling starts right around now. Your LO may be a touch early, but in the range. I can't believe our kids are getting so big!! :)
After 7 years of no ovulation...BFP#1 10/24/11 ~ EDD 6/29/12 ~ Natural m/c 11/2/11BFP#2 2/3/12 ~ Alice born 9/26/12
Sounds pretty on track to me, if not a little ahead. Xander can roll perfectly well from front to back, but likes to stop on his side and fall asleep when rolling from back to front. :S Total side-sleeper, but seriously? During tummy time? Lazy boy in the making, lol.
@Starry - LOL, Wouldn't that be awesome, though?
mmeans1224:I guess I didn't realize rolling can happen so soon! I'm excited that all of our LOs are getting so big! When it happened I texted both of our parents and they acted like I was crazy that she rolled over already. Made me second guess what I had seen LOL.
My son Lucas did the same thing on Friday. He's three months old on the 10th. I put him on his playmat and started messing around on my ipad and looked down and he was on his tummy! I couldn't believe it!
