JennV514:It's for colic. My son had bad gas his tummy was always hurting. We used Little Tummies Gas Drops. They worked great.
These stopped an all out scream fest two nights ago. Simply amazing.
It's great for fussiness, hiccups, etc. DD2 seems to love it as soon as it hits her mouth, even if she was previously having trouble taking the bottle.
I have never ever ever refrigerated it, and I have three kids that used it... So... I love it and it's super easy for travel. I use a medicine paci to get her to take it, like this one:
Kemare20:My baby HATED gripe water. He gagged and spit it out every time. It smells like black licorice which was enough to make me gag! Mylicon drops (the Little Tummies stuff) worked WONDERS. Seriously stops my screaming baby almost immediately and he loves the taste of it. And you only have to give your baby an itty bitty amount whereas the gripe water you have to give a lot, which is annoying in the middle of the night!
That black stuff sounds like Kolik Calm. Different.
Gripe water is essentially sugar water, and it's clear. Tastes delicious. And we give about 5mL which is not much IMO.
