rider5344:Apparently from someone's previous Disney popularity post our sons name is considered 2popular for "retro" names. he didn't hate that it was retro only that it was labeled retro. Anybody else annoyed by their ranking?
ETA: Found it.
Our daughter's name is on the first page "Trendy" category. Her name is Zoe and it has gotten more popular since we named her that, which is a slight bummer. I care more about regional popularity though and I've only met one other Zoe in our area. It will be nice if there aren't 5 in every class when she goes to school! Our names this time around are not as popular so they didn't make the list.
What's wrong with retro?
I agree with the post above saying that you have to take these lists with a grain of salt.
These lists are compiled mostly from data collected when someone searches the name as opposed to actually using it for their child.
My sons name is often found on "rising fast" and "trendy" lists. It doesn't bother me.
