mrstorrestobe:We didn't need any. nbsp; Our pedi did the plastibell method and the piece of skin just dries up and falls off like the belly button. nbsp;It was no mess, no care, super easy and healed perfectly! nbsp;I reccommend it if you have an option. nbsp;:
we used gauze and vaseline. we also used 'kids' polysporin which has some numbing in it. our Dr advised to use it as opposed to plain polysporin. we just mixed a dot of that with the vaseline.
DS's penis did stick one day so i used quite a bit to prevent it...can't hurt to buy two tubes or at least a bigger tub of vaseline just in case. it's cheap.
you can also buy gauze by the roll at a pharmacy so it's easy to just cut off a little piece to go between that and the diaper.
We never had to buy any. The hospital supplied everything we needed.
