My little buttercup has the sweetest smile.
We had an amazing day...DS slept until 7:30 and we had breakfast/opened presents as a family of 3. We lounged around for awhile and then went to visit my parents for brunch and then DH's parents for an early dinner. DS was VERY spoiled this year (and so were we hehe)...now to find places to put all of his new toys in our apartment!
The best thing was getting to spend last night and today with our families...last night was fun because my mom cooks a big Christmas Eve dinner (my sister's 30th birthday was also last night), and it snowed!
I loved dd's first Christmas. I didn't have expectations, so things turned out great. I was tickled that her favorite toy (so far) from today is the simple taggy ball that I made her. I've always wanted to make homemade gifts for my children, so I'm glad I pulled off a success for her first Christmas.
If I could change one thing, I would have loved for dd to be interested in the lights on the tree. I had visions of her being mesmerized by them, but in reality she couldn't have cared less.
yes, it was pretty nice, but exhausting. family was around but it seemed like 1 always was fussing or needed a diaper/clothing change/bottle.
i wish i took more pictures of them.
