We had a wonderful day, but LO was so overtired by the time we got home that he was screaming. He has a terrible diaper rash, he's teething, and of course, his schedule is FUBARed. I feel so badly for him. He's crashed out now and I'm hoping he manages a good night's sleep.
Tomorrow I'm taking the kids to my sister's while DH goes back to work. I'm regretting committing to it, though. I'd much rather sit at home in my PJs and relax.
I am definitely DONE.
Aubrie was so tired this afternoon she slept from 2-6 and now she's in bed and out cold again.
DH's stupid, low-life trailer trash brother and his equally trailer trash girlfriend completely ignored my daughter and didn't get her so much as a f*ck you for Christmas, meanwhile I have been buying lovely, thoughtful gifts for his daughter for the past eight years. And, while I know Christmas isn't about gifts, it would have nice for them to at least acknowledge that it's LO's first Christmas! But no, they are selfish a$$holes.
This has been going on for years. We get up, rush over to the IL's house because trashy brother and girlfriend run the show and dictate what time Christmas morning starts... next year we are staying HOME on Christmas day.
But, on the upside, my parents' were great and we had a really nice dinner together. It's just a lot in one day.
INmommy871278:Our holidays are officially over, now I'm trying to figure out what to do with DS's new toys. He went from a couple to a ton and I have no clue where to stash them. Oh and of course we are prepping for a supposed blizzard yay us!!
Our days are getting back to normal. James goes back to preschool tomorrow and the boys are having a lazy morning around the house today. They plan to go shopping for new baskets to store some of the toys later today so I can get some real work done.
We have a lot of family coming in on Friday so the crazy will pick up then. DS2 was so over stimulated Christmas Eve and Christmas day, I'm nervous for this weekend.
