hey all. first post here.
2 weeks ago my doctor discovered a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. evidently i was 8 weeks along. i had NO idea. this was our second loss this fall (early natural m/c in sept). same-day laparoscopic surgery left me with one less fallopian tube and 3 entry points. my belly button incision is still tender and raised, 17 days post surgery. has anyone experienced this? when did the pain finally subside for you?
this will also be addressed at my follow-up appt this week, but i want to cast the net out here to see if anyone else has experienced something similar. it's fairly tender to the touch, and i am really hoping this is just part and parcel with having your belly button sliced open, and not indicative of some other issue. up to that point, i was a surgery virgin.
how soon after your surgery/loss did you try again? we were going to wait a cycle, but now i think we'll just keep trying without any break. i waffle on whether or not this is the best decision. would love to hear your own reasons for why you chose your timetable.
thanks. it sucks to be here, but i'm glad i'm among people who really DO know what it feels like.
