OMG I can't believe I'm writing this post. After 23 months and 24 cycles, I was sure that all of the 2 lines I keep seeing on tests everywhere must be fake, never real. But today, MY PEE finally turned tests positive. Today, I am pregnant. Very very cautiously pregnant.
What we did: IVF. We have 2 failed IUI's under our belt and squeezed in an IVF cycle this month just before we lose all infertility insurance coverage in January (so incredibly thankful for the coverage that we've been blessed with). We got 14 eggs retrieved, 11 were mature and 9 fertilized. We transfered 2 embryo's on day 3 (1-8 cell grade A, 100 and 1-7 cell grade A, 85). We have 2 frosties.
I put myself through hell last week, testing before my betas and getting BFN's. Going into my beta's I was sure I was out and I was devastated. My first beta last Wednesday at 10dp3dt (13 DPO) was a 3= not pregnant. On Friday, it was 6.6=pregnant and doubled. But that is an incredibly low number for 15 DPO. My nurse said only time would tell if it was a chemical pregnancy or if the betas would rise and it would develop into a healthy pregnancy. It could be late implantation, but everything I have read also says that late implantation comes with a higher miscarriage rate. I'm set up for beta #3 next Thursday, since my RE's office is closed Mon-Wed. More waiting ROAR!
So I've continued to POAS like the POAS-aholic that I am (I push pee even on my self ), and today at 2 days after my beta was a 6.6, I got BFP's on Wondfo's, FRER, and digi. Woh. So I'm guessing my HCG level has to be above 25, which means it's still rising and doubling. Today, I am pregnant.
Symptoms: It's really hard to know what is the progesterone that I'm on and what is HCG. I do know that my boobs started hurting way more on Thursday (the day in between my betas) at 11dp3dt (14 DPO) and this has continued through today. I've had quite a bit of spotting, but I'm pretty sure that is from the progesterone suppositories. I've had some cramping on and off and just weird twinge feelings.
EDD: August 30, 2013 according to an online due date calculator for IVF cycles.
How I told DH: Obviously he's been riding this beta hell with me. I tested long before he got up this morning, and ran upstairs as soon as I heard him up. I shoved pee sticks in his face and danced in circles lol. He cried, and is obviously feeling just as cautious as I am with the low beta numbers.
The mushy stuff: I am so thankful that I found this board a year and a half ago. I love the ladies here and have made friendships (or fake friendships as some will call it ) that will last forever. I have gained more knowledge that I thought existed and have appreciated the honesty and support that this board has given me throughout this insane journey. I'm going to make a slow depature as I wait for beta #3 next Thursday and some more confirmation that this is a viable pregnancy. But in the meantime, I'm pregnant and this is the furthest along we've gotten!
