Saw these on Pinterest a few weeks ago, and when I had left over burlap from my ornaments I made last week, I knew I had to make one. I used my Silhouette to cut the words out of vinyl & used them as a stencil to paint onto the burlap, then sewed the panels together.
DH & I are both spending Christmas Eve/Christmas morning at home with the boys, then I'll take them over to my parents' house late morning and stay there Christmas night. I'm so thankful that I don't have to miss any time with them this year. (Although, this will be the first time in 32 years I haven't woken up at my parents' house on Christmas morning--I'm sad about that. DH & I have always spent Christmas with them.)
I've been thinking a lot about how our holidays will be different in the future and since our custody arrangement will dictate that we alternate holidays with the boys, I realize that there will be some Christmas mornings that I will not be with them. I don't want to miss out on the Santa experience with them just because the boys don't wake up with me, so I thought this bag might be a good way to facilitate that Santa delivers to more than one address... like, "Look! Santa delivered your toys to Daddy's house but he dropped off this bag here, too!!"
I'm giving the bag to my parents today and they're going to put their gifts in it this year, so we can start the tradition.
