This is in reference to DDs baptism, but that doesn't impact the advice I need.
DD was baptised last Sunday and we had a small get together afterward with friends and family. Some brought gifts and some brought money for her education fun and some brought both.
DH took the money out of the cards and put all the money in one envelope and made a list of who gave what and put it with the cards. Issue is we forgot the bag of cards and list at the church and only realised today when I went to start writing thank-yous! We called the church but they think it was tossed. So now all the nice cards I wanted to save for her are gone along with the list I needed.
What now? Some I remember some like her godfather gave her a piggy bank with a $20 in it, my dad did a check, my grandparents gave the only $50's, but all the rest is mostly a blur. How do I properly thank people?! I'm screwed aren't I?
