...who is making the call on when to induce? Your OB, peri, MFM?
I am a little confused and frustrated at this point. Early on when I had asked my OB their policies on induction, they said it's not up to them, that they have to go by what the perinatologist tells them based on my NSTs and growth ultrasounds.
At my last growth ultrasound with the peri, he wrote that he recommended delivery around 38 or 39 weeks. Baby was getting big. Today I had another one and expected they would make the call to induce this weekend. When the peri talked to me after the u/s she asked if I had set up an induction with the OB. I said no, the OB said it's up to you guys....she said no, OB has to make the call. Meanwhile I don't even have another appt. with my OB until late next week (past 39 weeks). So I had to call and cram in a Christmas Eve appt. with my OB to talk about this.
How is it working for others? I am so confused as to who needs to make the call on when to induce and when they'll do it. I was prepared to have a baby this weekend, guess not!
