I've not been to Key West but I've been to Savannah and Charleston. I loved both but I think I prefer Charleston just a little bit more.
When we took our trip to Charleston and Savannah, we were poor college students so we stay at some bad hotels. I mean, they were clean, but I wouldn't recommend them.
Walking the waterfront and visiting parks and beaches was our favourite part of both those places. If you do go to Charleston and it's the off season, you can stay for really cheap on Foley Beach. It had a decent Holiday Inn and it's a beautiful beach. We saw dolphins!!
ETA: YGPM in about two minutes.
I found out that my nanny family is going to Chicago for the boys' spring break. I thought about surprising Mr. T with a weekend get-away.
Mrs. Skull, thanks! YGPM back. :)
Surprise getaway sounds like a perfect Christmas gift.
And back at you with another PM.
Charleston; We stayed on Foley beach (hotel pp mentioned) and traveled to Charleston. I think I enjoyed the charm Charleston has.
Savannah; I like Savannah, I really do. But I wouldn't want to spend a weekend there. We go to Tybee Island and travel back in to Savannah for day trips. Tybee is 4 hours away from us, which isn't a bad ride for Lj. It is our new vaca spot. We loved the family feel, the quietness and enjoyed walking around the outer tip of the island. With sore feet, ofcourse.
Never been to Key West but have many friends who have.

Karen1998:However, if you do go to Savannah, you must go on a weekday and eat lunch at Mrs. Wilkes'. I recommend wearing stretchy pants that day. YWIA.
Thanks for the input! This part made me lol.

You'll love it. I've been to Charleston and Savannah more times than I'd like to admit.
Awesome - I bet Mr Tuna is going to flip (in a good way) when he finds out :D
