Let us guide you along week-by-week!)
inhisname2010:So I was wondering...what week will you working ladies stop working before your due date?
My leave starts the week before I'm due. I'm on my feet about 99.9% of my workday & it's already gotten pretty hard for me to keep up.
Still working at 39 weeks. I will work until this little girl comes, although I work in a school, so our last day before Holiday Break is Friday. I did the same with my son, except he was born the first day of school, so I started that school year with maternity leave.
Working until I go in labor or the doctor makes me stop. I'm a PE teacher and I have had to start sitting more then I would like, but I'm still making it. I would rather save my leave for when LO is here.
drpayne:I'll work at least until my due date, unless I absolutely can't for some reason.
This. I want to work until my LO decides to make her appearance if I can.
My last scheduled day is a Thursday night, due date on Sunday.
The plan is to work until she comes. If for some reason I hit 40 weeks and she isn't here yet I will pick up partial shifts (either 4 or 6 hour shifts) until she comes. Nothing like the physical labor of working in an ER to jump start labor! :) Walking around the mall trying to induce labor has nothing on running around an ER! :) (At least that's what I'm telling myself!)
Although I have to say, if I had the available leave and was sure I would stay up and moving I would love to go off earlier this time. However I know even if I took off early it would just mean I would sit around the house more, which won't help anything.

My due date is Feb 3rd which is a Sunday. I plan to definitely work that full week before. If I go past my due date which I'm hearing is likely with a first baby, I'll see how I feel... I might just keep working up until I deliver but definitely working until my due date.
