My son will be 9 months this week. I noticed over the past few days my BM supply is slowly decreasing. I have been EP since he was a few days old and usually get around 36oz per day. I'm now barely getting 30oz total. I'd ideally like to keep giving him BM strictly until he's a year old. Is there anything I can do to boost my supply until then?
Make sure to get up at night and pump every 4 hours. It's really hard to do this, I know. My lactation consultant told me I needed to, and I did notice an increase after a few nights of doing this. If you have a hands free bra, it will help.
Have you tried any herbs? The LC told me to get on them because my milk supply had gotten down really low. I drink a tea called Breastea and I've really seen a great increase since I started it. I plan on using it until I stop breastfeeding.
