I am losing my mind. My 9 month old DD has been fighting every single nap and bedtime for the past 3 weeks now. She has never been a great sleeper but she would take 2 naps a day. The morning nap would usually be about an hour to an hour and half and the afternoon nap would be like 45 minutes to an hour. It used to take me about 20-30 minutes to put her down. She would go down for her morning nap about 2 -3 hours after waking and her afternoon nap about 2-3 hours after waking up from the morning nap. bedtime is like 4-5 hours after she wakes from her afternoon nap (usually around 6:30 or 7)
It's been taking me 45 minutes to an hour to put her down and it is a battle the entire time. I watch her cues and put her down when she is tired. And she's also not napping as long. (45 minutes max. an hour and a half is unusually long for her right now) I work full time so my mom watches her. Yesterday she only took one nap in the morning for an hour and 20 minutes. My mom tried to get her down for an afternoon nap but she said that after an hour and 10 minutes, she gave up. She apologized to me for not continuing to try but I couldn't really blame her. That's a really long time to be putting a baby down for a nap.
On Wednesday, she was with my MIL and she only napped for 20 minutes the entire day. I don't know what is going on with my DD and why she won't sleep. Is it too soon to just do one nap a day? I am getting very frustrated with this.
