drpayne:Those are cute. The overly enormous ones with giant flowers are NMS but those are cute
Ya, enormous flower headbands are hot on my FB newsfeed but also NMS. You can't even see the baby!
THIS! It's cute because the flower isn't gigantic. I loathe those. :)
I love headbands with bows, but I'm not a fan of the flowers.
I had two boys first and once my girl came along I couldn't help but put on the headbands. I just made sure they didn't overwhelm her head.
I got these for DD and I really like them- the color selection is great and the bow isnt too big but also not too small. I also really like how soft the headband part of it is- other headbands we had would leave marks on her or just didn't seem as comfy and these bands are really soft but stay on well.
Those are cute but there are other ones I like more for newborns. For example:
I like these because they do not completely overwhelm the baby.
cmhicklin:They are NMS, but I think the flowers for those headbands are a little too small.
love the headbands. I'm in love with this 1 on etsy.. if i have a girl i'm totally going to buy one.
As someone with (almost) 2 girls and who has paid for numerous professional photo sessions, I will go ahead and tell you that those headbands aren't going to photograph very well. The flower will "disappear" into the thick band.
I think babies look the best when the band is very thin. That way, even if the flower is small, it is still easily seen. My LO is 1.5 and she still looks funny with those thick bands on her head. GL deciding! I know how fun it is to pick out girly things!
They are NMS and I agree that those won't photograph well.
These are really cute:
ObLaDi:I think they're tacky, but for full disclosure, I think infants look absolutely ridiculous in headbands.
Add me to this camp. I think headbands look really, exceedingly weird on newborns. I understand the practical reason, though. Newborns are androgynous, and sometimes you just don't have anything pink left clean for her to wear. So, you want to make it clear that she's a she. I get it, I just think they look weird.
If I'm being completely honest, I say tacky. I really hate those headbands. I will not be putting them on my LO.
