I am delivering at a midwifery birth center, that has a policy that they do not allow mommas to birth there after 42 weeks. At 41 weeks, they typically do a biophysical profile and non-stress test, just to be sure baby is still safe in there. At 41 weeks, 5 days, they introduce labor-stimulating herbs. If the baby isn't here by 42 weeks, I would have to transfer to an OB, who would pressure me for an induction.
I had a dating scan, so I know my due date is accurate within 4 days. I am worried, because my mom was overdue with both my sister and I by 2 weeks, but didn't have a dating scan to determine an accurate due date.
So, does anyone know what percentage of babies are born after 42 weeks, without medical induction, with an accurate due date?
