Let us guide you along week-by-week!)
I'm 10 weeks pregnant and I have to go out of town next week and my family is worried about the long car ride. It's only a 6 hour ride. Does anyone know if long car rides are bad for you in the first trimester?
Nothing wrong with the car ride I know quite a few that have taken long rides even much further along in pregnancy.
OMG, no! You are confined to your home and should never be more than 5 minutes from your delivery hospital the entire pregnancy!

Silv3rlining:Car rides are fine. Most OBs MWs will suggest stopping every 1.5-2 hours to walk around some (to prevent clots), but it you're anything like me I have to pee that often...
My OB told me the only concern with traveling is sitting for long periods, which can lead to blood clots. Apparently you are more prone to clots due to the hormones you are producing. So like a PP said get out and walk around every couple of hours. She also showed me some stretches and movements that can help prevent the clots, which are impossible for me to describe in text but you may be able to do a little internet searching and find them. Have fun on your trip!
Just lurking...had to read it for myself.
This is going to be a long pregnancy for you OP.
