That's fun. I was in Sk?ne for awhile, but now I have moved a bit north. I love it here, even if the weather is a bit crazy at the moment. And, well, it isn't the most exciting place on earth, but I think it is very family friendly. Where in Sk?ne were you? Have you been back to visit? Not the easiest place to relocate to if you don't have a Swedish connection, but well worth it, I think.
I lived in Lund, and yes, my husband and I took our honeymoon to Sweden and I have been back several times since to visit friends.
I agree that it is hard to initially break into the social scene, but once you have friends (at least in my experience), they are friends for life!
One of the things I like most about Sweden is its family-friendliness. Love the childcare and school systems. Really love how both parents are expected to work--but that there are so many great support systems in place to ensure that families can be successful.
