First off, thank you so much for all of the support that you bring to each other and inadvertently to us lurkers as well.
A brief history:
TTC since Aug 2010. 1st RE appt Aug 2011, d/x: MFI d/t poor morphology and motility. 3 IUI's, then lap to dx/tx Stage 2/3 Endo. 3 more BFN IUI's. Onto IVF...
Yesterday was my ER which went well (though I could NOT stay awake for the rest of the day!). I just got the call today from my RE's office that they retrieved 17 eggs, 16 of which were mature! However, of the 16, 11 degenerated... I am at a bit of a loss... the nurse didn't have anything more she could tell me, but I was shocked and it has me wondering why so many degenerated.
Of the remaining 5, 4 fertilized w/ ICSI, so I'm still very happy with that. If anyone has any input/experience with similar results, I'd be eager to hear what your dr. said.
I suppose I could wait till tomorrow to hear what my own dr. has to say... but sitting around resting all day has thrown my curiosity and concern into overdrive.
TIA and hoping and praying for sticky babies for all you other future mamma's!
