HCG Levels at 4weeks

in 1st Trimester
Just got a call from my doc informing me that my first test of HCG levels at 4w2d was 916 and that it was low and I need to go in for another test this week. Everything I find online seems to say this is well within the normal range. Anyoen else have a similar issue?

    My OB made me come in and have my blood drawn until it was over 1000.

    I went through this with my 2nd pregnancy. My HCG levels at 17dpo were only 179, and my doc told me to come in and see if it's viable or ectopic. It was too early to see anything, so I went in and demanded repeat betas to see if it was doubling appropriately. She gave me the doom and gloom, bad news convo, and showed me a chart saying what the levels should have been. It said 1-2 weeks=5-50, 2-3 weeks=50-500, 3-4weeks=500-5000, and 4-5 weeks 1000-10000. Here's the problem though. She thought that all meant 1-2 weeks pregnant, and REALLY it meant 1-2 weeks past ovulation, so 3-4 weeks pregnant, and so on. So really, I fell in the 2-3 weeks range and was FINE. Your number, for a chart like that is perfectly fine (even a little high!) and the only reason I can think of for your doc to say it's too low is if he, too, is reading some chart wrong.

    Mine was 877 at 4w3 days and my OB was pleased with that as it was rising as it should (I had my HCG tested twice before).

    What really matters is that the # rises as it should.

    My numbers are way lower than that.  4w5d today and my number was at 152.  Not fabulous at all, but my dr didn't seem overly concerned because they had doubled since Monday.  916 sounds really good!

    Took a break and then found a new RE
    Oct 2012- IUI #3 BPN (Follistim, Ovidrel, Crinone)
    Nov 2012- IUI #4 (Follistim, Ovidrel, Crinone)
    BFP on November 29th
    Pregnancy was ectopic and terminated on December 8th

    Mine yesterday at 3w 3d was 174 and no one seemed concerned.

    Mine was 196 at 4 weeks, I get it re tested today at 4 weeks 2 days. I was told that as long as it continues to double it's good!
