It's totally normal, but some people get it worse than others.
What's happening is that when you were pregnant you didn't lose the 100 (?) hairs a day that you normally would have so now your body has 12-14 months of shedding to do. (it starts around 2-4 months after baby is born)
For me it got pretty bad and my hair got really thin near my temples. If you think this part is bad, just wait until it all starts growing in again... I have short hairs all over my head that want to stand straight up. :(
Now, my Dr. said it isn't common for it to still be going on for me at 10 months PP, so we are checking out my thyroid, but he isn't worried about it. (Easy for him to say!)
But, totally normal, and all you can do it wait.
