Before getting pregnant I read several books about getting your baby on a schedule to ensure good sleeping habits at night. At our last pediatrician appointment he said to feed him every 3 hours during the day 3 oz and then if he will go 4 hours at night feed him every 4 hours. He will be 6 weeks on Thursday and I have been lagging on his feeding schedule and now I'm afraid he isn't getting enough to eat. (He cries after feedings) Because of a severe milk protein allergy I am having to give him special formula so I am not able to breast feed anymore. My question for everyone is what is your schedule? how many ounces? how often? Do you still wake up LO for feedings? As of right now he will go 5-6 hours between feedings at night but my dr says no longer than 4 hours and to wake him up during the day every 3 hours. I was enjoying my extra hour of sleep at night. We meet with him again Friday so I will ask him again then but I wanted to see what you ladies are doing.
