I wasn't initially going to share my BFP for fear of the 'beep beeps' but I decided to post for the sake of those who may come after me with high prolactin/prolactinomas looking for possibilities/some glimmer of hope.
Shortly before beginning the TTGP journey I learned that my prolactin was SUPER high (normal range 4-23 and mine was 76) which meant LONG cycles. MRI showed two microadenomas and I was prescribed bromocriptine. I googled incessantly looking for information, BFP stories, etc but I didn't find much comfort. My first post on this board was actually a search for someone with a similar situation/medication regimen! I went back for my first f/u visit after starting bromocriptine last Wednesday and my levels had dropped from 76 to 9 - a pleasant surprise!
With regard to the BFP, I promised myself I wouldn't test until 11/26 when we got back from Thanksgiving but I caved today. I got a very faint line on a wondfo so I waited two hours and tested with a FRER which was positive! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to contain my excitement/surprise and told DH immediately despite what I imagined to be some big reveal. Oops!
Symptoms: Much like AF - sore boobs, cramps (although they started earlier than usual). What wasn't like AF were my itchy boobs (weird but true!).
I am so thankful for the success of bromocriptine and having found my way to TB/TTGP. I will continue to root for everyone! Thanks for everything.
