I have a really good job in a field I love and I'm doing really well at my job. I've been with the company for almost 8 years and this will be my third child while I've been here. We don't plan on having any more children BTW. For every other pregnancy I've worked up until the day of my c-section.
But I am having a really rough time now-- my sciatica is horrible, I'm tired all the time and having a 4 year old and 2 year old at home isn't helping.
I want to ask my boss if I can work from home 2 days a week for my last month working (December) just to get off my feet a bit. I am 99.9% sure he will say no problem, but I'm worried that in the back of his mind he will view it as a negative. Performance Evals are done in December and that sets my bonus and salary for next year.... I know he is very reasonable, but still...
WWYD? Suck it up? Or do what you feel like your body needs even if it risks your momentum at work?
