I am so tired of reading posts about how people don't trust their OBs or assume their doctors are trying to "bully" them into something! The journey to become a doctor is far too long and trying to possibly not care about your patients and want what's best for them. Since when have we become so distrustful of the person who dedicated their life to saving ours??
I come from a family of doctors and lived in a tiny apartment eating spaghettio's my whole life as we paid off student loans, so I know firsthand that "the money" is not worth it relative to the heart that doctors truly have for their patients. Compassion aside, the risk of a lawsuit is far too great for them to even consider making a move that is not in the very best interest of you and your baby. I am so tired of hearing people bash such caring professionals.
Before you make claims about your doctor or someone else's, please remember the decade + of intensive training and education they all went through to be able to safeguard your health and the health of your loved ones. They may have differing medical opinions even amongst themselves, and they are certainly not all perfect, but they are not out to get you; they are required to remain fully abreast of the new and best procedures, and sworn by oath to cherish and protect human life. Thanks for reading.
