Re: IFVets PAIF check in
I was on a business trip this weekend in Pittsburgh. My m/s resurfaced and I got sick on Monday night right before my presentation at a conference. I wasn't able to eat anything in the am and got no sleep almost because an alarm was going off thanks to the high winds I think. I had to cut my presentation short, I very nearly passed out and came close to puking again in front of everyone. I had to stop and the session chair suggested I sat down.
I was so embarrassed I felt, I owed an explaination so I mumbled that I was pg and still in my first trimester (which got a few understanding giggles). Then immediately got emabarrassed for sharing the news and was really upset with me for fear of someone else struggling with IF in the room.
I got a lot of good questions and everyone seemed to be very understanding and told me the talk went just fine (I still think it was a disaster, but no one from my company was there to witness it at least ).

QOTW: In honor of the day, what was your favorite halloween candy when you were little? Is it still the same now or have you acquired some different tastes?
Honestly, I'm not sure. . . as a child I loved sugary candies. I still do. BUT this halloween, being pregnant, I can't get enough snickers and kit kats!!!!!

IVF #3
Overall, doing pretty well. I have aches and pains, especially in my hips while sleeping, but nothing a new position can't fix. Baby boy is moving up a storm, more so at night.
I have my next appointment on Monday. My glucose screening, and another ultrasound for them to get measurements on his face (he wouldn't turn over during the anatomy scan).
I start child birth classes next Tuesday, and it kind of scares me - I'm not sure I really want to know what happens
My biggest "concern" right now is that I got a letter from my insurance company last Saturday that they are having troubles negotiating with the hospital I plan to deliver at. At this point, come Nov 26th I'm not longer covered there. The main problem is it's the only hospital my OB has privledges at. I'll be talking to them on Monday to discuss options - but hopefully the hospital and insurance company can come to an agreement. I have a hard time believing the hospital would want to lose all their patients with one insurance provider.
Reeses' peanut butter cups - always has been my favorite

PAIF/SAIF/PGAL welcome
Updates: had my last appointment with my RE yesteday and then first with my OB and everything is going well. I was 9 weeks 1 day yesterday so EDD is now 6/4/13. Feeling good, nearly all side effects are gone but stopped projesterone supps 2 and already crampy. Not sure if that is normal or not.
QOTW: actually yesterday was my first real Halloween ever!! Yep, well I am Australian and we do not have that tradition and where we lived until recently we could not do Halloween and we had grandma's turn up for candy. So last night, dressed all in black (I was a ninja!) I handed out candy to every little goblin and fairy and I was a giddy as a school girl doing it. So much fun. Oh, I do love Peanut M&M's though.....
Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!
Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!
I have yet another appointment with the RE tomorrow, then another with the OB on November 20. I really thought I would be released by now, but with my hematoma issues and apparently low progesterone, I am still on PIO and suppositories. The PIO has gone down to every other day, but my butt yearns for the day when we can stop altogether!
I am feeling pretty good. I had some nausea last week, but overall it's pretty good. As of today, I am 12w and in one week I will be in the 2nd tri! Woot!
QOTW: As a kid and to this day, I was always a chocoholic. I have always hated candy corn and never had much of a taste for the sour and sugary candies like Sour Patch Kids, Nerds, etc. My favorites are Reese's cups, Snickers, Pay Day, Kit Kat, etc. Mmmmm.....

No updates right now. My next appointment is not until the 21st.
I have been feeling ok. Night time is the worst for me with rib pain. I really think I have costachondritis, which nothing can be done about it while pregnant from what I am reading. It keeps me up at night because it hurts the most when laying on my sides. Sleeping on my back is becoming not an option for me. At least I have it figured out for during the daytime and it is not as bad.
QOTW: As a kid my favorite was 3 musketeers. I don't care for 3 Musketeers as much anymore. My favorite is probably Reeses Peanut Butter Cups now.
It only has 11 right now. You have to send me your info and I'll add you

Oh Gregermis! I am so sorry that all happened to you! I hope you are feeling better and I am sure that people understood - especially once you said you were pregnant. I know you feel bad thinking there may have been someone there dealing with IF, but sometimes things like that are unavoidable. Hugs!
I am feeling good! My baby shower was this past Sunday and it was amazing! I am actually having a 2nd in a little over a week (MIL wanted to do her own...) but I got pretty much everything we needed at this one so I am psyched! I did shed a few tears when I thanked everyone for coming and hinted a tad to our IF (I had a friend who attended that is dealing with IF and is going to do her first IVF next month) but I am happy I said it the way I did.
QOTW: In honor of the day, what was your favorite halloween candy when you were little? Is it still the same now or have you acquired some different tastes?
I am a little late, but usually my favorite things were always peanut M&Ms and sour patch kids. Lately I have been such a chocoholic so anything chocolate has been wonderful.
