I had chicken mcnuggets, fries, and a Dr. Pepper. It tasted delicious!
After 18 hours of labor, over 24 hours without any food and, eventually, surgery, I was so desperate for food that I was begging my mom for banana pudding and my MIL for brownies. lol.
My first meal was a leftover chicken quesadilla with chips and salsa from my favorite mexican restaurant (that my mom had eaten for lunch and brought as a snack to the hospital where I confiscated it) almost 12 hours after my c/s. I was still on a liquid diet so all the hospital brought me for breakfast and lunch was juice and soup.
I enjoyed that meal more than I have ever enjoyed eating anything. lol.
I agree with the sushi and lots of it!
Steak & Crab legs with lots of butter :)

I didn't plan any after-birth meal when I had DD and had whatever they were serving for lunch that day at the hospital. I probably don't remember it because I ate it so fast. After 3 days of labor with only 3 pieces of toast, I have never been hungrier in my life.
There is a local drive-in near my hospital that I might make a friend or family member go get me after birth this time!
amwentworth:anything with Blue Cheese Dressing!!!!!
You know you can eat Blue Cheese dressing now right?----
There's honestly nothing I refrain from now that I don't normally (I don't really drink, eat unpasturized dairy products, etc). Last time all I wanted after I delievered was fruit, so my IL's bought me an edible arrangement with assorted fruit and chocolate covered strawberries. *drools* Oh, and I wanted a huge glass of sweet tea.
Hmm this is a hard one for me! With my first my DH made me a huge batch of whole wheat honey cookies, mmmmm. With my second I think we has tacos or something like that. ( All my baby's have been born at home, so it just depended on where we were ) With my third I had smoked salmon, french bread and cheese.
I am veggie so something high in protein and iron. Maybe chili and corn cake! Yum that sound good :)
I want sushi!! Something with raw salmon & a spicy tuna roll. ::drool::
& of course I need to wash it down with a couple beers.
This has been a very entertaining thread. I don't know if I'll make it my mission to eat anything I've been avoiding. (But then, I've been eating runny soft-boiled eggs, deli meat and all sorts of forbidden foods.) I wasn't a big drinker before getting pregnant either, so that was easy to give up. I have a feeling I'll want In-n-Out because I always want In-n-Out when I'm exhausted. I did the 'Run For Your Lives' zombie 5k and afterward, my lettuce-wrapped cheeseburger, no sauce, ketchup and mustard instead, with fries, ketchup and a strawberry milkshake was the best thing I'd ever eaten.
If not, though, spicy tuna on crispy rice will work!
