I just wanted to tell all of you fellow East Coasters to stay safe in this crazy storm.
P.S. DH thought I was crazy when I went out to buy non-perishables today but...if this turns out to be nothing at least I won't have to buy tuna or peanut butter for a while.

I'm in Central Jersey, near Trenton. Which is almost directly east of where this thing is going to make landfall. I'm a Midwest Girl (Kansas City) so I can handle tornadoes. But a hurricane is a new thing for me. DH & I have our supplies, and we're hunkering down waiting this thing out.
Everyone stay safe!!

Yeah, I'm really not that worried but I feel that if I don't at least prepare a little, it will be really bad and we will be stuck in our apartment with no food or water for a week!
Be safe. I hope everything will be ok. My mom is in the Philly area and I'm a bit worried about her too. I grew up in Illinois so tornados are familiar territory for me as well, hurricanes...not so much.

We got some food this morning, but we're not too worried right now. We share a power grid with the state highways building, who has to have power to open their gates and service roads in emergencies, so the power company has to service us first. We've been lucky so far!
We did stock up on some food and got some bottled water, but DH is emergency personnel, so he will likely get called in to work. If he does, they feed them and give them water, so it will just be and our puppies.
My work already closed tomorrow and I bet they'll close on Tuesday as well. Hopefully the storm isn't that bad and no one has any severe damage!

Living in coastal southern New England, DH already has school canceled for tomorrow and many are already canceled through Tuesday. I work in health care and, unfortunately, have to go in for at least a little tomorrow morning since wonderful Medicare does not care if a state of emergency has been declared, they still say I have to see my patients!
Have all our supplies out on the dining room table, including the water from last year's August hurricane that didn't expire Cake is in the oven and got LOTS of chew toys for the puppy!
Stay safe everyone!!!
Me: 31, PCOS DH: 37, low morph and low counts

FET in August 2013
Thanks everyone!
I am a voice teacher, and my studio has already closed for tomorrow and nothing has even happened yet! DH and I went out and stocked up on water, bread, peanut butter etc. Am also thinking that my RE appointment for Tuesday isnt looking like it will be happening, which is going to SUCK because I am supposed to go in for monitering to plan for my 2nd IUI this cycle. Then again, if all my loved ones are safe in this storm, I guess I need to just be thankful, and remember that is what is really important.
Stay safe to all you lovely bumpies out there!!
