mrshall10210:Check with your doctor (do you have one yet?), but I was sent home with a list of "Pregnancy Safe" medications... and Tums is on the list.
Yea, I'm not sure about other heart burn helps but Tums is clear during pregnancy.
I make a ramp out of pillows to sleep on at night, keeping my head and upper torso elevated-that helps. Also, I'm trying to avoid my known triggers, but if I do happen to have something I know will cause me heartburn, I take a zantac at bedtime.
During the day, I take tums and drink fizzy liquids (the fizz helps me burp which seems to give me temporary relief).
Zantac is a life saver!! I'm only 4 wks!
