I don't mind the nn Winnie but don't like Winter. Also I have to comment I love your sons name and like it paired with Olive.
Idani:Love Olive! I don't mind the nn Winnie but don't like Winter. Also I have to comment I love your sons name and like it paired with Olive.
Thanks for your input! I really like Olive. Winter is DH's favorite and he's hard to please so I've been considering it. do think Olive goes better with Luca though.
Olive is NMS- however I think Olivia is a great name, you could even call her Olive.
As for Winter, it's pretty but I don't really like it.
I REALLY dislike Olive one of those names that makes me cringe a bit. Oliver as well..must be something in the sound for me.
I love winter....think it is beautiful, but do not like winnie at all.
Luca is one of my most loved names....but i dont think either girl name goes well with it.

I love Olive. DH thinks it's weird.
I much prefer Olive over your other options.
I love Olive! It's one of DH's favourites as well. And Luca is my favourite boy name--similar tastes! :)
I definitely prefer Olive to Winter. I do like Winter, but only as a MN.
I don't like olives so I'm not a big fan of the name Olive, even though it is a family name for me. Even though it is super popular, I prefer Olivia.
There was an Olive in DS2's tumbling class yesterday and her caregiver kept calling her Olly. Since I know several little Olivers with the NN Olly I am not a fan. Another reason I would go with Olivia instead to get a more feminine NN like Livia or Liv. (Although I guess one could still use Liv with Olive.)
Winter doesn't do anything for me. It's a cold and dead time of year which isn't very appealing to me. Winnie is cute though. :)

My wife and I LOVE the name Olive. We picked out all of our baby names in the Social Security office waiting to change my wife's last name on her card about a month after we got married. So, we had Olive picked out over a year before she was conceived.
Our Olive was born last week 10-27-2012. We also liked the name Olivia, but we just thought it was far too overused. Though, with Drew Barrymore's name choice, I'm sure Olive will spike up a little in popularity.
Here is a pic of our Olive:
Really dislike Olive. It just sounds and looks ugly to me, even though I really like Olivia.
I LOVE the nn Winnie, and actually thought about it for DD but couldn't think of a full name that worked, since I hate Winifred. I've never heard of Winter as a first name, but I think I kind of like it! I picture a blond haired, blue eyed girl in a beautiful, snowy setting.
