My seven month old DS has been refusing to take his bottles for the past few days or spitting the formula back out at us. Normally he eats 7oz bottles five times a day. He is a big eater and has been taking three solids (breakfast, lunch and dinner). He is a BIG baby in the 99.8%tile.
Lately he is eating maybe an once and then an hour later he wants to eat again and will do the same thing. He wants only solids, no formula. I even tried pedialyte and he wouldn't take that either. He is still peeing and pooping. I think he is about to get his first tooth so I'm sure that is part of it. But I'm worried he is not getting enough. I know he is a chunker and not going to wither away though.
Today I tried to make him wait four hours between bottles to see if that would help and I still got the same thing where he will suck and then spit the formula back out or turn away from the bottle. He had reflux the first few months and it seemed to clear up on its own. Could teething be causing his reflux to return? My DD did not do all of this when she was teething.
