**Team Green Check-In**

Anyone out there still?? :)

I was getting weak for a little while there but I think I'm back to being fully committed! Big u/s on Monday so I only have to stay strong for a few more days!

As always, it does get hard seeing all the awesome Team Blue/Pink posts and I find it's easier to "think TG" by talking to other TG'ers!  so let us know how you're doing and what's keeping you motivated in the midst of everyone finding out the sex?

 :)

  • STAY STRONG!!! Mine is next Friday, I'm so willing to fold it's ridiculous lol. MIL said "well it would be easier to just find out so we know for clothes and stuff." And that makes me want to not find out even more. Just to spite everyone, kidding.

Bahaha! I have this one friend in particular who is going CRAZYYY that we are TG. She hates it! And to be honest, it does make it easier to stay TG just to spite her (not in a mean, nasty way...but just to make her crazy...err, crazier hehe)

  • Our a/s is next Friday morning. I keep thinking that I just want a healthy baby and whether its a girl or a boy doesn't play into that - healthy and we'll be thrilled parents to whatever the child turns out to be.

I'm thrilled for people who are finding out, but I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret from my parents, and I just want this to be the first thing that DH and I experience that'll be ours for the moment before everyone else finds out.

Lol, I totally get it. I was all "I'm itching to find out!" then she said that and I immediately switched to, "nope we're staying TG." Our family is going to go nuts when the baby is born because we won't tell them until they come see the baby and we plan on having a headband for girl and a hat for boy.  Just think of the anticipation our families and we are going to have at delivery!

  • Holding strong over here! Our families were actually all for doing team green, so that has made it easy.  I have had 2 ultrasounds in the past week (baby wouldn't show it's face), and declined the gender both times.

    Stay strong!

Go you!! Do they even do a peek at the genitals if you decline knowing?

     Aww I love this :)

I'm happy for everyone finding out too, I like knowing what everyone is having! I just like saving our surprise for the end :)

and i don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but so many people say that gender neutral clothes are "ugly" and that I'll be sick of yellow and green...but I have found some really cute stuff - and it's not all yellow and green! I've bought a decent amount of clothes so far, not a ton, but it sort of makes me glad that I don't know who's growing in there because I know I would go CRAZY buying clothes once I know boy or girl!

  • I have found super cute gender neutral stuff too. The little lamb set at ON, adorable. And I agree MrsNY, I go shopping and see all the cute boy and girl clothes and know I would just go nuts if I knew what I was having. I only get the b/g stuff I absolutely love.

I hadn't even looked at ON until you just mentioned it...I am LOVING that they have gray stuff!! I've been trying to find it but couldn't anywhere! Thanks for reminding me about them :)

  • Green! Green! Green! Green! Green!

I've been looking at some patterns for gender neutral rompers and sets so I can make cute clothes before the baby comes.

I like seeing all of the pink/blue announcements too but its also nice to know that other couples are excited to be surprised. It would definitely be harder if you were the only one who didn't know in a group of couples who were all finding out.

    hehe :)

Our a/s is monday as well. I've addressed a card to my best friend who lives out of state - the tech can write down girl or boy and we'll drop it in the first mailbox we see :) She'll be the only one to know and she'll buy the girl clothes I want if this happens to be a girl. Win.

  • I'm still here! I have a scan on Monday next week but will NOT find out the sex.

I'm actually getting annoyed, almost every post on the board is its a ****! That's what the daily check in is for so people don't clog the board up! AHHH!

  • Still Team Green here too! Our a/s is on Tuesday, and as curious as I am, I am feeling pretty strong. I think someone mentioned this last week, but I feel like not knowing the gender will make labor more motivating and I LOVE all of the guesses and reasons people come up with. My nieces think it's a girl because they can 'see' the baby's hair in the u/s pic....haha too cute!

I think this is a great idea and I thought about doing it!  Then I thought that having my best friend know when I didn't would make me crazy and I'd make her tell me or something! I know she wouldn't slip, she's good like that haha.

  • Still Team Green :) A/S not until Oct. 12th----but have already told the doc (and planning on telling the tech as soon as we get in the room) just so everyone is clear and there are no questions about if we want to know.

It seems soooo easy to cave I don't want any temptations!

Not sure about other doctors, but ours didn't look. The u/s tech told us that since we don't want to know, then the doctor doesn't want to know so he doesn't slip up, and they won't even look.

Our a/s was this past Monday and it was SO much easier then I thought it would be! We just told her that we didn't want to know and that was that. She was showing us all of the organs and developments and how great everything looked which was a nice distraction. Plus, baby kept it's legs locked tight, so we wouldn't have gotten to see anyways. It's going to be such an awesome surprise in the end!

  • Our ultrasound was Wed.  We are still team green!  It was hard since she had the 2 femurs up and just had to move the wand a little to see the girl or boy parts but she knew we didn't want to find out!

I am getting a 3d/4d scan at about 34 weeks because they are so neat and I hope we can continue with team green then!

  • Still team green! As much as knowing would make things easier, it's fun to be think of all the available name and clothing options up until baby arrives.
