It finally happened - DD got the swaddle arm of her sleep sack over both her mouth AND nose when fighting her hand out. Thankfully her hand kept it far enough away from her airways that she was fine when I went and moved it this morning. She's such a little Houdini that she breaks our tightest blanket swaddles and fights her arms out of everything. I refuse to pay $30 for the Miracle Blanket because enough reviewers have said their kids could fight out of it that I know DD will too.
She's also still too young and easily startled to sleep unsaddled, even just one arm. I've tried one arm for naps and it only works if it's the arm away from her pacifier and she still flails it unless conditions are ideal.
A friend sent me the Swaddle Strap - has anyone used it? It looks like it might work without being a hazard like all the products that have fabric that can bunch up around the face. Or there's the magic sleep suit, but it looks like a total gimmick and the fact that I can't find any negative reviews makes me wonder a lot.
Any other ideas?
