Hi all -- good to see I'm not the only one having nausea at this stage. My sister's pregnant right now too, and three months ahead of me, and for her it wore off after the 1st trimester, but it's only gotten worse for me-- and our mother had it the whole pregnancy with all of us. Joy. My midwife suggested protein by the bed, to snack on when you get up to go to the bathroom (like a few almonds or a small piece of cheese), to keep something in your stomach. That's been working for me. I try to have a small protein shake when I first get up, too.
I've had shortness of breath too, but I hear it's common. It just takes longer than it used to for me to catch my breath after doing some sort of physical activity. At my work we have a lot of stairs, and I've started taking the first three flights (skipping the escalator) but then getting in the elevator for the last two. I find myself practically panting as I wait for the elevator... which is a little weird as strangers pass me who don't know I'm pregnant. Ah well.
I can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or a girl! Everyone thinks it's a girl, so watch it be a boy... ;)
