I had friends over tonight and made a big pot of yummy spicy chili by request (w/o beans, though) . I don't know what I was thinking, but I chowed down on some. So now I'm concerned about
1: how long it takes to show up in my milk?, and
2: how many hours will it take to get out of my system?
I've got a freezer stash, so I can pump & dump, but would you think it's ok to nurse again, say, tomorrow afternoon?
Its the pepper and garlic that worries me. The only thing I can find on Kellymom is an article about alcohol consumption. I only had a sprite. What would you do?
TIA
Re: how soon do you BF after eating spicy food?
Ditto this. Moms in India and Mexico eat spicy food all the time and BF!?
I failed to mention that DD is a gassy girl, but I guess in general, does anyone know how long it takes for what you're eating to get in your supply?
We have been trying to figure out what could be causing some of her painful gas issues, which is why I guess im concerned about anything that is abnormal from my regular diet. I cut way back on dairy for awhile and that didn't seem to change anything.I;ve been trying to stay away from beans.
Also-She is being treated for reflux with Zantac which is helping out a lot with the projectile vomitting and arching of her back. But her stomach gets so hard sometimes and she screams until she finally burps it out or passes gas with us pumping her legs. My older DS didn't have it this bad.
I've read where some moms discover their DC's have issues with chocolate, etc. How do they find out the culprit?
