My friend is due first week of June. Would mid-March be too early?
What's the typical timeline?
I don't think there is a typical timeline of when to hold one. But mid-March sounds a little early to me for a June baby. Though mine were the first and second weekends of December and I'm due mid-February. It's really all up to what works for the hostess(s) and MTB.

A S-ski:They are usually held when mom to be is about 36 weeks.
IMO, I think that's a little late. I've always known them to be held about 2 months before the due date.
fyrefairie:i know alot of people have them somewhere in the 8th month but i had mine in the 7th (for a number of reasons) and i think it was great...i felt better than i do now so it was more enjoyable and gave us plenty of time to get stuff we didn't get at the shower
Ditto on this.
