So yesterday I was running errands with my mom (we were at their house for thanksgiving), and I could tell that my husband was bored, so I asked if he would go to Gamestop and pick-up a gift I needed to get a friend. He of course agreed, because he enjoys going to gamestop.
When I got back from running errands, he said don't look in the back of the car because I got your christmas present too. My first response, "Is it sparkly?".... he said "No, it wasn't on your list". I was impressed that he went off list because he usually struggles with gifts.
As we were driving home from my parents yesterday he said do you know what you are getting me for christmas? and I tell him that I'm still thinking, so I am open to suggestions. Then he asked if we were doing okay $$ wise for the holidays, and I assured him we were fine.
We get home, and he said, can I give you your christmas present now? This isn't a shock to me, because whenever he buys a gift he wants to give it right away (he has done this ever since I've known him... he had my engagement ring for 4 hours). So I said, okay.... because I knew it was killing him.
He said, it's kind of a gift for both of us, so you don't really have to buy me anything. Dun... Dun.... Dun.... this is where you know the story turns bad. He bought an xbox 360..... WHAT!?!?! That wasn't even close to anything on my list, this is not a gift for me, this is a gift for him. I'm not impressed. He has spent the last 3 hours playing with friends online.... This is not a Christmas present (maybe for him, but NOT for me). I'm so annoyed.
