I plan on having my shower at a location that seats 45 people. I was thinking about sending 50 invitations out knowing that everybody won't show. Is that logical or should I send more?

i think most people would say don't invite anyone you cannot seat. with that said, we sent out about 45 invites and about 32 (i believe) showed up for my shower.

I think 50 sounds about right.  You could also have a rolling "B" list of invites that can go out if you make your RSVP date early enough.  A lot of people do this for weddings.  GL!
