ladylisalt:Thanks for taking the time to respond. Mrs. Braun, that stinks that you got no relief, that is kind of what I am fearful of. That, and having to switch so many times.
Switching every four weeks SUCKS, but that's not the case for everyone. More people that I've heard of find relief a lot sooner than I. All you can do is start a new med with a positive attitude, and make sure you give it time to work, as they can take up to 6 weeks to reach full effect.
I started on Zoloft immediately after my delivery since I had a history of PPD with my first 2 babies. I still felt horrible for about a week and a half but now feel SO MUCH better and more like my old self. I had a couple annoying side effects with it. Some headaches, diarrhea, and my head just felt a little weird. I was on 50mg and now have tapered down to 25mg since I am feeling better. Now I don't feel the side effects, but I still feel good emotionally. I am so thankful for zoloft and i hope it works great for you too. Good luck with everything!
My doctor prescribed 100mg of Zoloft for me and it helped the first couple of weeks I was on it. I could tell a difference in a matter of days. But after about a month of being on it, it quit helping me. I felt like I did before I started it. I switched to Pristiq and its made a world of difference. I feel like myself and normal
Wow! That stinks. Just when you think you are feeling better, you get a wrench thrown at you. I am glad something else is working for you.
Zoloft was a lifesaver for me. It hasn't cured everything, but has made a huge difference. I've been on it for about 10 years.
But, It does take away and sort of sensation in the sex department, and I have had trouble with weight gain.
