  • I do not need to ask my husband to be my spellchecker thank you very much! And the jokes about him being my guide are getting old. Yes my husband is the leader of our household and our final decision maker but thats the way it should be. Maybe if your husbands did his job and had more control of you you wouldn't be online harrassing ppl all day!

What, are we in the 1960s still??

My husband is the patriarch, yes, but that does NOT mean that he makes our final decisions.  We came to the decision to start TTC together after much thought and discussion.  Key word: together.

I'm not even going to touch the statement in bold because its not worth my time or energy to respond to something so juvenile.

    FFS where to even start:

First of all, now I know why your parents signed for you to get married at 17 - they couldn't wait to get rid of a moron like you.

    2) Yes that is the way it should be in an abusive relationship.  He doesn't think you need to further your education - he wants you home barefoot and pregnant with no means of fending for yourself because that gives him TOTAL control over you (which is abusive behavior).

    3) My husband does his job very well which is why I get to sit home on the computer.  And I don't harass people unless they're that dumb.

    4) Please get your tubes tied - you're too stupid and he's too abusive/controlling and that's just a bad environment for a baby.

    5) You are 18 - so are a lot of my students so I understand how you think you are all grown up and mature.  That's typical of TEENAGERS.  Unfortunately for you, by the time you realize your mistakes it will be too late especially if you're at home with a couple of kids (God forbid).

Actually, my husband is secure and loving enough that he actually wants me to pursue the things I want in life: education, careers, you name it. No control, just support because he trusts me.

Good point.  MH was planning on how to celebrate my graduation this coming December (for my Masters Degree).  THAT is the way it should be.

Oh my, she sure did tell us! Pray tell, would suggest and nice beating with a switch or are you more of a backhanded kind of gal?

FWIW, my husband is former Army and younger than me and in school fulltime (thank you, GI Bill; PS- your husband is VERY unlikely to finish school while active duty, not that you care to listen to people who knows such things) I already have two Masters and work in a highly demanding professional career. So, basically I'M the head of household. My husband, who is quite possible the most wonderful man in the world (I admit to bias here), cooks, cleans, does the laundry and plans on being a full time SAHD. We couldn't really have kids any other way. Having said that, my husband and I share hobbies together and apart, have intellectual interests both shared and apart, and *gasp* ever, at time, disagree.

The 'man of my dreams'. my college sweet heart I was with for over 11 years? The one who made 6 figures and had this amazing education and family blah blah blah...*poof*. Turns out what he thought he wanted to 18 was still what he wanted at 29...whereas I had actually grown into being a different person.

Yeah, so...life...it's more complicated than you think.

The day I have an 18 year old boy who doesn't understand human reproduction order me around is the day I pack it in, sugartits. You do realize that you take orders from someone who

    1. is 18 years old

    2. married you, calling both his intellect and judgment into question

    and

    3. thinks that "slippery when wet" means you're likely pregnant.

I weep for the future. You two will probably breed like bunnies, homeschool your genetically inferior children, and divorce before hitting the age of 25. You'll be fighting over the meth trailer and a 1988 Chevy Corsica. Even at that point, you still won't have a grasp of human reproduction.

  • OMG girls! I was trying so hard to post from work with my phone, but I couldn't get it to submit. My boyfriend looked at me like I was crazy when I walked in the door and immediately logged on. Anyway I am in agreement with most ever PP. OP needs to get a clue and grow up before even THINKING of TTC. She is a disgrace to the responsible 18 year olds I know, none of which are ready to have a child.

This is not to say SOME 18 y/o are ready, or become ready if they need to.

I usually try to stick up for people when lots of posters are against them, but this girl gives me no reason.

Sorry Marry2daarmy you are all on your own on this one.
