I just have to say it frustrates me how many people say it isn't important for babies to learn how to crawl before they walk. Everything I have ever heard and read has indicated that it is important for babies to crawl before they walk because of mental and physical developmental progression. Now, I am no expert by any means, but I would love to see everyones research for why it is ok to skip this step! Plus, another thing, just to fuel the fire... why are parents trying to push their babies to skip crawling? I would rather my child be "behind" on walking then skip crawling and be walking at 7 months! Our LOs and their develpment shouldn't be a contest that we are trying to win and just because your LO does something before mine or someone else's doesn't mean you are a better mommy! Ok, rant over. Flame away!
